11 String Bass I found this 11 String Bass from Benavente Guitars out of Oregon. When I say 11 string bass, it's not like a 12 string guitar where each string is doubled. This is actually 11 strings! I'd think you'd have to have some big and powerful fingers to even play this monster. And here, I thought my 5 string had too many strings. That brings me to my next question, what does a set of strings cost for an 11 string bass? And what gauge are those higher strings? And where the heck would you get strings for an 11 string bass?
