• Rack/desk/Chair
• Soundcard/interface
• Outboard effects
• Compressor
• Mic Stands
• Software Plugins
• Turntables
• Stereo  Headphones
• Headphone amplifier
• Computer
• Monitor Speakers
• Synthesizer or Keyboard

I would recommend doing some homework on each item, find the best for your budget. Depending on what type of music you are doing you may be able to get by without some of this stuff. These are just the home studio essentials off the top of my head.
