Never Burn Bridges

Over the years, I have been in a ton of bands. Playing with a lot of different people. I know it's hard to keep in touch with everyone. I'm not going to lie and say I do. But I keep a mental list in my head, who was fun to jam with and who I really don't see anything happening. As you get older your musical style will change...trust me. I went from Speed metal to mellow acoustic dream rock in just a few years.

The point of my story is, it's fun to contact people that you've jammed with. For instance, I went to a concert with one of my old drummers. We ended up hanging out and totally hitting it off again. So now we're talking about getting together and rocking out again. So now I have a real live drummer at my disposal...sorry BR-770, your outta here.

Yeah, now we're almost 40 and will probably never make it big, but it's still fun rocking out the old songs, doing new covers and maybe trying to write and record some stuff. Even if we never play live, we can still do a kick ass CD in my studio.

So, never burn a bridge or write someone off, you never know when in the future you might need them.

Nice comment, you’re right

Nice comment, you’re right in as much as this game is all about who you know and you never know when an old contact might just come in handy. You can never have too many friends in the music business! I’ve just started a music production blog, it’s early days but you can check it out at http://musicproduction-wells.blogspot.com/.
