I really enjoy using Pro Tools. It has been a great addition to my home studio. But, did you know you can get Pro Tools for free? Yup. Digidesign has a special version of Pro Tools that they are just giving away to guys like us.

If you have never tried Pro Tools, you need to download the free version and give it a try. It's not quite the full blown version, but hell...it's free. For some home studios 8 tracks is an upgrade.

The free version includes:

• 8 tracks of audio
• 48 tracks of MIDI
• Real-Time Plugins
• Many of the same editing and mixing features the pros use

I know, why not 24 tracks? It's free!! 8 is enough (no pun intended) to mess around with. It's definately enough to get a feel for how cool Pro Tools is.  

The Pro Tools free version will work with your existing sound card. No need for the Mbox or the 002. Download and go.

Give it a try. Your home studio deserves it. You can't go wrong with Free Pro Tools!
