RustyI've been spending so much time in my studio lately and playing by myself that I've gotten a bit rusty. Last weekend I had an old drummer over. Neither of us had played together for over 10 years. We stumbled through some old cover songs and tried some of the old originals. The good thing was, he was just as rusty as me so I didn't feel so bad. We rocked for quite a few hours, drank plenty of beer. We tried to do some improvising, which is how we used to write our songs...just jam em out. We used to come up with quite a bit of material this way. But now, it's not so easy. I've been so focused on recording and studio work, that my improv skills are weak at best. It felt good to get loud and bring the rock, but it convinced me that I need some work on my chops.
