Being a child during the 70's, I was completely into Star Wars. I had all of the action figures, tie fighter, x wing, land speeder, I even had the Death Star. I saw all of the movies in the theatre (multiple times), and I was extremely dissapointed by the prequels. I've been reliving my childhood lately by collecting old Star Wars toys and memorabilia. Yeah, I know. I'm a complete dork. At least it's not Star Trek...huge difference.

Anyway, I stumbled across this today. Fernandes Guitars has teamed up with Lucas Licensing and have created a Star Wars Retrorocket Collector's Series guitar. These are guitars made in Japan that feature graphics of Darth Vader and Stormtrooper. What? No Chewbacca?

Sounds like there are plans to include charachters from the prequels as well and there may be other versions with more charachters from the original three movies. Come on, just do a Chewbacca one!

I don't know who would ever buy this but collector geeks like me. Can you imagine playing a gig with one of these? You might as well put on your Spock outfit. Pretty nerdy stuff, but I'm still going to ask for one for Christmas.
