In my studio I have two PC's. One that is my DAW and one that does everything else. They are both slammin with hard drive space. I'm one of those guys that loves to play guitar or bass along with my favorite CD's. I like to pretend I'm in the band.

But up until now, it's always been a hassle finding the songs I want to play along with. What I did was turn my PC into a giant iPod. I went thru all of my mp3s and all of my CDs and loaded on all the songs I love to play along with.

Even better I have began to organize them into categories and playlists. For instance all of the drop D songs are in one area, all of the bass guitar songs are in another area,  all the mellow stuff in another area, etc.

It makes rocking out, very convenient and well organized. Now I can spend more time actually playing than looking thru CD's for that one song. Try it, you'll be happy you did.
