Treo 650Thanks to the recommendations from my father, I just got myself a Treo 650. I know this isn't music related, but it is a gadget and it might have some value for tech-geek musicians like myself. The Treo 650 is an incredible gadget. The Treo 650's capabilities are:
The Treo 650 will do all of the above and then some. I can connect my laptop to the Treo 650 with a $30 bluetooth device and can surf the web wirelessly...no matter where I am (as long as I have cellular service). The speeds are way better than a dial up. The Treo 650 will sync up with all of your outlook contacts and calendar items. I love this feature. I have outlook at work and at home, and was never able to keep my calendar and contacts updated. Thanks to the Treo 650, now it's a breeze. I got my Treo 650 from the Sprint store. Don't get it online. You'll pay a ton. The Sprint store listed it for $399 and I ended up getting it for $250 (after mail in rebate). This is a steal! Make sure you haggle with them. Make sure you get the $15 a month Sprint Vision which will allow you to go online with your Treo 650. Surfing is unlimited and does not use your minutes. Plus they have 800 minutes for $40 a month. So for roughly fifty bucks a month I have a brand new cell phone plus unlimited surfing. Another thing I like about the Treo 650 is that with a little software it will record audio. So when I'm driving down the road and I have a song idea or lyrics pop into my head, I can now record them easily. Definately a must. Seems like that's when the best ideas come, when you're driving. The Treo 650 uses the Palm operating system. There are also plenty of extras that you can download. I would definately recommend the Treo 650 to any geek, musician or not. The Treo 650 is definately an awesome gadget. Check it out. ![]()
